AVK in the UK Expect Awards 2025

The Expect Awards recognise employees whose work and leadership embody, in the view of their colleagues and customers, the ethos of the AVK Expect Promises. The five Expect Award categories are:

• Expect more of Yourself
• Innovation
• Customer Service
• Customer Response
• Best Site

From the over 200 nominations received, twenty-one Award winners were chosen. Presented with their trophies, the winners were photographed alongside the guest speaker, Sam Warburton.

Sam is a former Rugby Union international, captaining both Wales and the British Lions, a team made up of the best players from the four home nations. Sam spoke about his journey to leadership and those who had influenced him along the way. He also talked about how the principles of sports psychology can be applied to performance in the workplace and other areas of your life.

Paul Hubbard, Chairman of AVK in the UK, also spoke about leadership and the importance he placed on creating an environment which celebrates people being the best they can be.

Lee Foxall, Head of People and Organisation Development, was the host for the Awards, supported by the Managing Directors: Martin Greenhalgh, James Fry, Mark Palmer, and Paul Boyden. Lee thanked all those who had taken the time to nominate a colleague for an award. He also expressed his gratitude to all those behind the scenes that had co-ordinated the day’s events.
